Eligibility, funds and family plans
Check before applying
Growth: at least NZD 5 million in eligible investments over three years, with at least 21 days in New Zealand.
Balanced: at least NZD 10 million over five years, with a baseline 105 days. Qualifying extra investments may reduce this requirement.
Investments must qualify and carry risks. Assess residence conditions separately from investment returns.
After meeting the applicable conditions and period, a Permanent Resident Visa application may be made. Permanent residence is not guaranteed immediately upon investing.
Review your background
Start with family goals, work or business experience, qualifications, available funds and your intended timeline. Professional achievements need real supporting evidence.
Passport copies and asset evidence are not needed for an initial enquiry. If a further document review is appropriate, we explain its purpose and how information will be collected.
Application planning and consultation
From assessment to application planning
1. Review your background and family goals. 2. Check eligibility, evidence gaps and relevant professional review. 3. Explain the responsible professionals, service scope and fees before engagement.
Approval remains a government decision. Review business or investment risks separately from immigration requirements and family arrangements.
Next step: request an initial assessment
Review eligibility, evidence requirements and the service scope before deciding whether to apply. Residence, permanent residence, citizenship and investment returns are not guaranteed.
